2nd Saturday Event: Valentine’s and the Anti-Love Poem
with Poet and Writing Professor Joe Hoppe

In this workshop we’ll venture beyond the Valentine’s clichés to ask, What really counts as a love poem?
Annual College Fair
This is a great chance to meet representatives from local colleges, get answers to your financial aid questions, and learn strategies for college success. All are welcome!
2nd Saturday Event: What is a Choreopoem?
with Drama Professor Marcus McQuirter
10 am – noonThis is an interactive, performance workshop in which we’ll dig into the movement and staging of Ntozake Shange’s famous choreopoem for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf.
2nd Saturday Event: Invisible in Austin
with Sociology Professor Javier Auyero and special guests Pamela Neumann and Katie Sobering
10 am – noon
We will hear from Dr. Auyero and his team of graduate students about their book which explores the expanding gap between the rich and poor in our quickly changing city.
